Inspiration and Motivation for Artists

DM: The main thing is to be moved, to love, to hope, to tremble, to live. CON: If you hear a voice withing you say "you cannot pain", (then by all means paint), and that voice will be silenced * If you could say it with / in words, there would be no reason to paint * As / So long as the mind can envison the fact that you can do something, you can do it. As long as you really believe 100% * Art is everywhere, except / only (however, but) it has to pass through a creative mind (It's only that ...) * Avoid 'blank page fear syndrome' by dripping tea, coffee, ink or paint on the page. The page is now 'spoiled' so your artwork can only make it better! * Have no fear of perfection, you'll never reach it (even if you want to) * Don't / Do not worry about (losing) your originality by looking at (and questioning) others'  / someone else's work. You could not get rid of it even if you wanted to * Fine (cultured, refined) artists reflect, and then they act. Fashion photographers - we act, and then (we) reflect * The artist must train (teach, learn) not only his eye but also his soul. FW: This world is but a canvas to our imaginationArt is not what you see, but what you make others see * Good art is not what it looks like but what it does to usAn artist is not paid for his labor but for his vision GRA: Don't impose limits on the way you work; let your art be what it wants to be * Let your art / it be what you want it to be * Think about your future and imagine what you would like it to be * I found that I could say thing with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way, things I had no words for / for which I had no words * Good / Fine art (Painting) takes time. Don't be afraid to make / fear making mistakes. Don't fear being bold. Fear complacency (self-satisfaction). (Instead), Fear never achieving the things you wish you would've done (or said but didn't). (The “Would'ves, Could'ves, and Should'ves). GER: If you find yourself putting off doing your art, maybe spending too much time wondering what to draw or paint or worrying about housework, try booking in an hour or two in your diary once a week and treating it like an appointment with your sketchbook * If you can't get your meaning across without using little words, you can forget the art of communication * Don't put pressure on yourself to make every piece (a play, an article) a success; the only thing that really matters is whether you enjoyed making it * If you don't feel like / fancy sharing your art / artwork (piece / work of art) with us but still want us to manage (supervise / organise) it for you, that's fine / you don't have to * By expanding your mind and soul, you expand your imagination. RF: I shut my eyes in order to see *  Art is the only way to run away without leaving home * My business is to paint what I see, not what I know is there * We all experience the would'ves, should'ves, could'ves when (we're) grieving (mourn, weep); ... (and) no ifs, ands, or buts (about it); ... but, and it's a big BUT, it's still a million times better than ... * It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child * What does it matter how you do it? Paint it with a shovel if you can't get your effect (meaning) any other way. STR: Just because you can doesn't mean you should
