ADVERBIAL CONJUNCTIONSJill broke her finger today, but on the other hand she was completely fine (While and whereas are conjunctions. They connect two clauses /  elements in the same clause or sentence. On the other hand is not a conjunction, it is an adverbial conjunction. It goes at the beginning of the second clause and is usually separated from the rest of the sentence with a comma)
